A trailer and press kit for the short science fiction film Last Flight (2011) were released yesterday. Shot by a crew of New Zealanders amidst the haunting volcanic mountains of their homeland, Last Flight was written and directed by Damon Keene, and stars Kassie Watson as a lone astronaut on Mars who begins one last journey as her air supply dwindles.
Last Flight was created on a budget of about $20,000 and has been submitted to the New Zealand International Film Festival, the Melbourne International Film Festival, and the Fantastic Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
