This painting by Leo Morey illustrates a scene from the science fiction novelette “Warriors of Mars” by Arthur R. Tofte. It was used as the cover piece for the August 1939 issue of Amazing Stories magazine. The pulp mistakenly credited the painting to fellow artist Robert Fuqua.
