The Year's Best Science Fiction: 29th Annual Collection will include three stories set on Mars


The eagerly-awaited table of contents for the The Year's Best Science Fiction: Twenty-Ninth Annual Collection (July 2012), an upcoming anthology edited by Gardner Dozois and published by St. Martin's Griffin, has been announced and includes at least three works of short fiction set on Mars:
  • "The Vicar of Mars" by Gwyneth Jones, first published in the anthology Eclipse Four: New Science Fiction and Fantasy (Night Shade Books, May 2011)
  • "Martian Heart" by John Barnes, first published in the anthology Life on Mars: Tales from the New Frontier (Viking, April 2011)
  • "Digging" by Ian McDonald, first published in the anthology Life on Mars: Tales from the New Frontier (Viking, April 2011)
