Despite its brevity, the characters are finely drawn and easy with which to identify. Some of the barbs directed at NASA and members of Congress are well aimed and sharp indeed. The style is spare and economical and does not waste the reader's time. Brendan DuBois has been added to a very short list of modern writers I will read.
