Preview: New comic book Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #2

Comic Book Resources has a crisp five-page preview of Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #2 (August 2011), the second issue in a new comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment that tells a tale of ancient Mars, chronicling events on Barsoom tens of thousands of years before the arrival of John Carter.

Scientist Tak Nan Lee resumes work on the desperately needed Atmosphere Plant as he tries to befriend the Red Martian woman he rescued from the Green Horde. Meanwhile, thousands of Greens march on the White Martian city of Thark! The story that tells the fall of Barsoom 100,000 years before John Carter continues!

Based on the fantastical science fiction world created by beloved pulp author Edgar Rice Burroughs, Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #2 was written by Robert Place Napton and penciled & inked by Roberto Castro, with variant cover art by Joe Jusko and Francesco Francavilla (pictured above!).
