Preview of new comic book Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #1

Newsarama has a sharp five-page preview of Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #1 (July 2011), the premiere issue in a new comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment that tells a tale of ancient Mars, chronicling events on Barsoom tens of thousands of years before the arrival of John Carter!

Based on the fantastical science fiction world created by beloved pulp author Edgar Rice Burroughs, Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom #1 was written by Robert Place Napton and penciled + inked by Robert Castro, with variant cover art by Francesco Francavilla (pictured above!) and Joe Jusko.
