New short tale: "The Martian" by the literary Ben Loory
Earlier this summer, Ben Loory, a high-brow writer of literary fiction, had his collection of Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day published by Penguin Books. Included in the “no fewer than 40 tiny, elliptical tales” is “The Martian,” in which, according to the July 2011 issue of Locus magazine, the title character “moves in on a married couple and starts doing household chores until he gets on their nerves.” Incidentally, Loory’s collection also contains a story titled “On the Way Down: A Story for Ray Bradbury”.
