Take ten minutes and read “Adventures in Hollywood”, a hilarious piece that Nebula Award-winning hard science fiction author Gregory Benford recently posted on his blog. I’m not sure if it is fiction or nonfiction, but Benford’s 1999 novel The Martian Race figures prominently, and the 2000 film Mission to Mars is blasted. There’s even a clever diss of the Fox media empire. And, considering one frequent criticism of self-publishing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Benford deliberately left in the handful of typos!
