Review: Sir Michael Moorcock's 1965 novel Lord of the Spiders

JCOMreader, a blog devoted to news and reviews from Barsoom, Mongo and other planets, recently reviewed the 2008 Paizo Publishing reprint of Lord of the Spiders, a swashbuckling Martian science fiction/fantasy novel written by British author and SFWA Grandmaster Michael Moorcock.

Penned in the Edgar Rice Burroughs tradition under the pseudonym Edward P. Bradbury, Lord of the Spiders was originally published in 1965 as Blades of Mars and is part of Moorcock’s trilogy chronicling the adventures of character Michael Kane on the Red Planet.

  1. Did you say SIR Michael Moorcock? Has he been honoured by the Queen wihtout me hearing about it?

  2. Phil: I knighted Moorcock, but the Queen probably has not heard about it yet.

  3. In that case: Arise, Sir Michael!
