British author E.C. Tubb (1919-2010)

Locus Online reports that British science fiction author Edwin Charles “E.C.” Tubb died September 10, 2010, at his home in London. Born in 1919, he was 90 years old. The author of more than 100 novels and best known for his sprawling 32-volume Dumarest Saga, Tubb also wrote several novels set on and around Mars, including: Atom-War on Mars (1952), I Fight for Mars (1953), Journey to Mars (1954), City of No Return (1954), Alien Dust (1955) and C.O.D. Mars (1968).
