Here’s a nice piece of Martian SF&F history: The opening pages of “The Girl from Mars,” a novelette written by Jack Williamson and Miles J. Breuer that was published in 1929 as a 24-page pamphlet (Science Fiction Series No. 1) by Hugo Gernsback and his Stellar Publishing Corp. Note the cool frontispiece by pioneering pulp artist Frank R. Paul.
