Dover Publications will publish in early 2012 a collection of twelve color postcards portraying fantastic scenes from The Ship That Sailed to Mars (1923), a nearly-forgotten children’s fantasy book written and illustrated by South African architect William M. Timlin, whose “delicate watercolors depict a dreamer's voyage to the Red Planet in a craft built by a team of friendly fairies.” Calla Editions, an imprint of Dover Publications, recently reprinted The Ship That Sailed to Mars.
