Review: Lord Michael Moorcock’s 1965 novel City of the Beast
JCOMreader, a blog devoted to news and reviews from Barsoom, Mongo and other planets, recently reviewed the 2007 Paizo Publishing reprint of City of the Beast, a respected Martian science fiction/fantasy novel written by British author and SFWA Grandmaster Michael Moorcock.
Penned in the Edgar Rice Burroughs tradition under the pseudonym Edward P. Bradbury, City of the Beast was originally published in 1965 as Warriors of Mars and is the first novel in Moorcock’s trilogy chronicling the adventures of character Michael Kane on the Red Planet.
