Mars manga: Aqua, Aria and the gondolier of Neo-Venezia

I don’t know much about Japanese manga, but I am aware of the best-selling utopian science fiction/fantasy magazine serial Aqua (2001-2002) / Aria (2002-2008). Created by female Japanese manga artist Kozue Amano, the series is set in the 24th century on a soothing terraformed blue Mars (renamed Aqua) and follows the life of a young woman named Akari Mizunashi, who trains to be a gondolier for the Aria Company in the city of Neo-Venezia.
According to BBC, the city of Venice, Italy recently licensed its first female gondolier.
