Blackstone Audio producing two more Barsoom novels

Coming Attractions, a website devoted to the latest pulp-related news, reports that Blackstone Audio is producing two more unabridged audiobooks in the famous Barsoom series of science fiction / fantasy novels penned by pulp author Edgar Rice Burroughs in the early 20th century.

The Gods of Mars, read by William Dufris (8 hours; CD, MP3-CD, Tape), is scheduled to be released February 1, 2011. Here’s the Blackstone description:

This is the extraordinary story of John Carter, who returns to the Red Planet in search of his beloved, Dejah Thoris. John lands in the Valley Dor, which is populated by vicious plant men, and discovers the Lost Sea of Korus, guarded by the great white apes and horrifying lions of Barsoom. It is here that he finds the princess Thuvia, who is a captive of the Holy Therns, high priests who eat only human flesh slain by their plant men.
