Audiobook review: Mindswap by Robert Sheckley (1966)
John Ottinger III, proprietor of the science fiction/fantasy review blog Grasping for the Wind, reviews the 2010 Blackstone Audio audiobook of SF author Robert Sheckley’s well-known mid-1960’s novel Mindswap, an “absurdist tale” in which a poor college student named Marvin swaps minds with a seemingly upstanding Martian. Despite experiencing some technical glitches, Ottinger enjoyed both Sheckley’s writing and the narration provided by Tom Wiener in this 4.5-hour audiobook. You can listen to a sample of Mindswap through Blackstone’s website.
