Actress Barbara Billingsley dead at age 94, appeared in 1953 Sci-Fi film Invaders from Mars

The Washington Post reports that television and film actress Barbara Billingsley (1915-2010) died earlier today, October 16th, at her home in Santa Monica, California. She was 94 years old. Best known for her role as gentle June Cleaver, the nurturing mother and supportive housewife, in the classic television series Leave It to Beaver (1957-1963), Billingsley also made an uncredited appearance in the 1953 science fiction film Invaders from Mars as the secretary of character Dr. Stuart Kelston.
