New space horror: “The Walking Man” by Glynn Barrass

“The Walking Man”, a new short story by British horror writer Glynn Barrass, will be published in the forthcoming Full-Throttle Space Tales #4: Space Horrors (Flying Pen Press, October 2010), an anthology edited by David Lee Summers. A tale about a Martian Prometheus, here is a promotional blurb:

That huge, hulking, walking man, steered by murderous desire, then became a prison for the only crewmember with his sanity still intact.

“Sir?” One of his captors taunts, “I have a report to hand that reads that after much torture and degradation, all crew members that you deemed friends or were on friendly terms with have been thrown into The Walker’s leg gears, alive.”
